Competition

Like loyalty many people have the ambition of competition for the wrong reasons. Competition can in itself become a form of bondage or salvation. Fighting for a single hope that you will be granted your freedom if you emerge as a champion. How can this not be a worth while goal? It is freedom that we strive for. Freedom to exercise our will as we see fit, but this freedom again is illusory as it is false.  At this moment we are deceived into believing a fiction. The fiction is ourselves and we will tear apart the world simply to maintain the idea that we exist.

The self as we know it is just that, simply a simple idea. We have awareness, emotions, senses and mind but what about these makes us distinct. When the mind is active we may ignore the world around us and to us it will not have occurred at all outside of our conception. What we have is an imagined version of what we have witness but it is not the thing itself. As is our idea of who we are, we are nothing and we are everything we are an awareness that is filled with the changing senses and the contemplation of mind. Nothing remains eternally within our awareness and this is where any semblance of self resides.

Yet what form does it bare? It is but a mirror for which the world to reflect it is space that is none. We are in reality but known space in which this world occurs. Space is not empty but it is not the thing that occupies it.

When you ask yourself long enough who you are, you eventually find out that this question was mute. Once you have seen this you return to the things that occupy your space; your mind, your emotions and your senses. They remain as they always have yet this understanding refines our question of competition. Competition is not with the external world but defining the things that occupy your space.

What does it mean to recognize that will has not inherent value but that it is a simple tool to create the reality that you experience. Because of this we are not separate from the world and our awareness of this fact changes our action.  A meal is only so delicious when you are paying attention savoring it in some way.  When  your attention is focused else where your awareness is not as acute. This is the same with your own space.  This is root of the concept of Karma, your actions will be experiences within your space you cannot deny this and in order to avert your gaze you are required to pull away form the world in certain instances.  In other words actions that cause you to pull away will prevent you from savoring your own life.

If in the end all we are is an awareness and the ability to act. What then should we do? When you ask this question you have not understood. Let go of yourself and relate to the space within yourself authentically. It is ironic that the conception of an independent and fixed self is what keeps you from an authentic understanding of reality and an authentic way of living.

It is to clear your mind. To let go of the conceptions and ideas that have already pasts, to start anew in every instant.  Knowledge is infinity tied to emptiness.

Simply focus upon what feels good and examine it throughly, continue to empty your mind and start anew.
